(BTW, Mitch Hurwitz and writer/producer Richard Day are not the only AD alum involved in this show. The show's lead is John Michael Higgins, who played the family's sometimes-attorney sometimes-prosecutor Wayne Jarvis. Henry Winkler apparently has a role in it as well.)

ABC voted no on picking up "The Thick of It" for next season, but the comedy set in the world of politics may yet find a home.

Several networks, including NBC and pay-cable outlets HBO and Showtime, have expressed interest in the show, which follows the exploits of an undistinguished congressman (John Michael Higgins, "The Breakup") and his staff. Talks are still in the early stages, according to
The Hollywood Reporter.
